The multidisciplinary Violence Prevention Committee (VPC) and Threat Assessment Team (TAT) consists of but is not limited to the following representatives:
- The Office of Threat Assessment
- University Police Department
- Student Affairs
- Employee Relations
- Office for Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights
- Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
- Faculty and Employee Assistance Program (FEAP)
- Patient Safety and Risk Management
- Office of University Counsel
The VPC and TAT processes are lead and facilitated by staff within the Office of Threat Assessment (OTA). However, OTA has no authority to take disciplinary or law enforcement action against people reported to TAT. Some members of TAT have such authority within their respective roles. These members are responsible for the interpretation and execution of relevant policies and procedures related to their roles separate and apart from OTA and other TAT members.
